Nvidia...they just have more of the business and imo do make a better product. Better performance with a range of games.

I used to be an ATI fanboy, but as of now I could honestly care less. I just want a good card at a good price, which my 6600GT has.

Gotta ATI 9800 128 meg, so I cannot argue.

I'm a fanboy of neither, i've switched between companies to get the best graphics card for my money with every upgrade. I was very happy with my 6800 ultra, as i am with my X1800XT now. Ati currently have the upper hand with the X1900XT, being the fastest card around, but nvidia still have something up their sleeves, so that could change. Imo this is a good time for all, as both companies are producing quality products, so the choice is greater

I don't understand why you have to be either for one or the other, ands especially why so many people are. Doesn't it all depend on the model, in some yeasr ati is better in others it's nvidia.

My thoughts exactly. I can never understand this.

Couldn't agree more. My current card is an ATI, and before that I had an nVidia card. My next card will be whatever is better at the time.

I like nVidia's drivers a whole lot more. I have a 9800Pro right now and I love it, but I sure do miss the digital vibrance I had with my Ti4200.

I voted ATI, but only because I have an X800XT PE. I'd definitely say that nVidia has been in the lead for a while now.

I buy from both companies. It used to be all about speed and Nvidia had that hands down (Geforce, Geforce2, Geforce3, Geforce 4). Now with increasing resolutions, quality settings and other fancy effects ATI has shown to be very competitive. I personally like the quality direction over pure fps since we are well ahead on that front with almost any card. I buy whatever is doing better within the budget I have.

Nvidia. Ati were very stupid for not releasing a good midrange AGP card comparable to the 6600GT.

I'm not a fanboi. I've had ATI since I got my 9600XT after the FX5200....then I got my X800GTO. Now I might end up going for Nvidia..just whatever is cheapest for the power.

I've only had ATI cards all my life. Granted, I only ever bought one videocard in my life (9800Pro, so I can play Half life 2), so I'm not that good of a judge.

I forget what I had before my 9800XT (over two years ago), but it was something ATI. I had no problems with it, so I went ATI again (thusly the 9800XT-fantastic card still holding up quite nicely). Recently, I was about to buy the 7800GTX (best at the time) and then the rumors of the X1900XT/X came out. I went and got the X1900XT (very overclockable and stable) when it did come out. This was a purchase due to timing of the product coming out, since the 7800GTX is an excellent product.
Everyone cannot forget about the drivers - for a long time, Nvidia was top dog, but now seems ATI has the upper hand - a new driver every month, and for months after releasing a new product, the new driver seems to increase the performance time and time again. I'm neither an ATI or Nvidia fanboy (more like an AMD fanbi-otch), but currently have a ATI and thusly vote so.

QFT

Whatever pumps out the most power at the cheapest price is what wins in my book
