"Nvidia will not enable SLI support for Intel chipsets."

linky no worky

No one expected Intel chipsets to support SLI. Although some hoped. Nvidia is pretty protective about SLI only on Nvidia chipsets.
Does it say anything about Nvidia's SLI chipsets with Conroe support?

Link should work now. Apparently Nvidia will not even be including SLI support in it's Nforce chipsets for Conroe.

Thats a bit of a blow for consumers wanting Conroe+SLI. There must have been money exchanged.

With Intel will only supporting Crossfire for dual GPUs, more ATI products will sell. And that means SLI is exclusive to AMD so more AMD+Nvidia sales. That would be funny if AMD did buy ATI. lol

Perhaps you could help me out Asus, as crossfire looks a bit too expensive for me atm. What single ATI card would give me the best performance, the X1900XT? The prices I've seen on some of those seemed really cheap compared to Nvidia's 7900GTX.

Hmm, I got it off a different forum thread that was dated today. I guess they made the mistake of not realizing the date that one was posted too :P

I've seen reviews where SLI beats over crossfire by quite a large portion. It was done with an Asus Mobo.

It sorta depends on the game because there are other reviews that show Crossfire beating SLI too.

Looks like it might be soon.
