nVidia's Latest Driver

Just a quick heads-up concerning nVidia's 296.10-whql-driver.
After installing it Portal 2 just will not launch(!) I've looked through a lot of steam support
threads with no luck.

After brainstorming with myself thinking what could have changed it hit me I've just updated
my driver and sure enough once I downgraded it works.

This is an update I'll be skipping, did any of you experienced such, or a similar, problem?

I downloaded the 296.10s because the update contains a profile that fixes the way Alan Wake works with SLI. Maybe the Portal 2 problem is card specific? Loads okay for my GTX 570s.

Could be the case, I have a GTX460.
