Nw mouse not working for hl2

Hey all I got a question I just purchased the razer diamondback 7 button mouse. It wont work for me on half life 2, ( the xetra buttons) or on a number of other games. Is it something to do with my OS?

you did bind them right?

I dunno i just trried goin into the regular options men but it seems like its not recognising them, this happens for hl2 and postal 2

you might need to install a driver

I did I installed the cd that came with it wat now?

I dont know... maybe try putting it in a usb port instead of ps/2

should I bind it using console? and if so how do i set keys to strafing and running back?

I think I just got the same mouse as you. I havn't played Half-Life 2 since I got it, so let me go check if mine works.

Edit: Huh. Mine works fine. You should prbably go ask the hardware forums like someone said earlier.

you got a Razer diamondblack mouse? ok if youdo on yours can you bind directly in the optins menu? I cant for any game
