When you go to view the Control Panel, do you have it set to "Category View" or "Classic View"?
Under Classic View, there should be a "Folder Options" Icon next to the "Fonts" or "Display" Icons.
Under Category View, it's located under the "Appearances and Themes" Tab. Look near the bottom of the screen.
None of those methods work. It's absent from all of them. I'm not a moron
Edit: I also tried system restore (To before id installed any new stuff and I could get to the folders)
Add/Remove and write down all programs that you need and may loose, System restore as far back as you possibly can.
If you haven't done so.
Every Windows Explorer, under "Tools" in the option menu you do have "Folder Option" don't you? In the "View" option, mark "Show Hidden Files" if you can.
I have said, I CANNOT get to folder options from the option menu, that's my problem. Also, i've restored by far back as I can go and its still not done anything.
Restart system, hit "F8" before system boots into Windows and select "Best Known Windows Configuration" or something similar to that, see what happens.
Ill try the two above, thanks.
TBH I have no idea, I haven't got a virus of any sort (Ran several checks on different programs, nothing has shown up) I must have been screwing around and deleted something
Edit: I found the Registry key and it was set to 1, so I changed it, rebooted and its solved it. Thanks guys!
