Oblivion Instant CTD

Hi

I just opened up tes4 oblivion after a long time and after installing a whole lot of mods... the screen goes blacks after i run the game and begins playing the bethesda softworks intro thingy, and it just plays for a split second then the game vanishes.. no error message or anything, it just quits completely.

Is this because of a mod? Can anyone pls help me out with this?

Probably too many mods loaded. Remove some (in fact, just scrap the lot) and then run the game. If the game runs fine, then load up just one or two mods at a time.
