Oblivion LOD textures dont work

Anyone remember that game Elder Scrolls: Oblivion?

I reinstalled it recently, and tried putting in the better LOD textures into the game. It doesn't seem to recognize it. I think I need to adjust the ini file or something, but I don't know which thing to change. How do I get the LOD textures to work again?

is this a mod or did you make them yourself? if its a mod it should have come with the textures and a file that is called an '.esm' file. it holds all off the info on where the textures and whatever is modded will be place and what will be placed. once you have that in your oblivion folder then open the game but click data files before you click play. then check off the mod. then your good to go and it should work.

Actually the lod files doesnt have an esp file, you properly just installed it in the wrong directory or something. Check the readme and check the .rar file in case there's a directory structure in the rar file.

My problem was that I didn't use an auto archiver application. It's fixed now.
