K So I Have A AMD 2600+ And My Board Can Support Up To 3000+.
Everybody Is Saying Eventhough It Is Locked Just By Raising The FSB to 192 It Will Preform As If A 3000+.
So I Was Slowley Raising It And Checking Cputemps. never Got To 50c. But Around 180 I Restart And Monitor Doesnt Start. So I Reset CMOS. And Im Here Now.

Ok So What Should I Do? Why Wont It Boot Up Once My FSB is To High. Its Not A Temp Problem.

You might have to up the cpu voltage. Be careful as you do though as the temps will rise by a few degrees - take a look at Sgt.igneri's sticky here - this is where this question should be.

If it's unstable up the vcore, whats your cooling? name your heatsink, fans?

When you raise voltage expect the temp to rise.

Well no one posts anything usually in that sticky thread...it was nearly a whole month before someone answered my question in that thread so having your own thread makes people look.

I get that when i overclocked my cpu ...so i just up the vcore to sort it?

Its a amdxp 2600+ and its at 2.2ghz atm but im planning on upgrading it soon so i dont care if its life expectancy drops to like 2 months :p

Soz for hi-jacking this sort off...ive been wanting to know why this happens for a while as well :)

Pushing up the FSB can have a lot of effects you don't necessarily intend (and that are good for an OC if you use them right). First, you'll want to check what other system bus clocks are derived from your FSB, i.e. AGP/PCI, or memory. You may not be prepared to OC your mem, and you're probably not prepared to OC the AGP/PCI bus. Start with bumping up the core voltage. Be careful as this can cause permanent damage! Investigate other possibilities after that.

I Have A Volcano9 hsf (won at a lan party) temps are about 41C Now.
All CPU settings Are On Auto Right Now Other Then FSB. (166)
What Should I Up The Voltage To?

Just one more "step", Ie one click upwards. Then run a program called prime 95 for a few hours, and if it doesn't give you any errors it's stable. Or you could go gaming for a few hours and if it crashes or freezes you should either up your vcore a bit more or lower the overclock.

Fair enough Alig - what i meant also though is that he might want to read the guide. Didn't mean to sound like "you should do this and that..." :D

I didnt mean it to come accross like that either  was just pointing out that thread has as much attention as an 80 year old lady in a nightclub!.

My vcore Is At 1.725 (i think) Is That Safe It Seems To Be Running Pretty Solid At 2.28

First I Have To Say That Putting Capital Letters At The Begining Of Each Word Is Very Anoying.

Secondly, that depends on how hot your cpu is at.

I would check but prime95 is running...

Install something like motherboard monitor, or install asusprobe if you have a motherboard made by Asus.

Well Amds Fry At About 100c And The Limit Is 85

When the temperature rises or is lowered to much the lifespan of the CPU shortens dramatically. If someone were to draw a graph, it would look like a parable.
