Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty

Full remake of the original Abe's Oddysee. Here's some gameplay footage:

Scant details at the moment but it seems like they are trying to go one-for-one with the original. Frankly I don't need much of an excuse to return to Oddworld.

I certainly don't mind the idea of a re-made Abe's Oddysee (loved the original and wouldn't mind playing it again with the updated graphics on a nice HD screen). But what I'd really love to see is a new and original side-scrolling title as part of this franchise. It seems to me that Oddworld Inhabitants wasn't great at designing truly 3D games, but clearly 2D is their forte. An all-new side-scroller with a new plot and new characters and gameplay mechanics would be very welcome I think.

Agreed. I enjoyed the hell out of Oddysee, but I've played it several times already. Unless they pull a Bionic Commando Rearmed and revitalize the content while they're at it.
