Offer Gordan a gun

Ok. Here is my question. I want Alyx, to run to a scripted sequence ( done this part ) and when she gets there, I want her to offer Gordan a shotgun. The problem I get, is that when she gets to the scripted sequence, she offers nothing, for a millisecond, then buggers off.

I need to:

Put a gun in her hands to offer gordan. Shotgun to be specific.
and
Make her stand there holding it until gordan takes it.

I did a search, sorry if this has been answered before.

Just using a scripted sequence. Should I be using a multiple trigger?

I want her to stand still, holding a shotgun, until gordon takes it. The same way as when she gives him the grav gun in single player
