We at the office have bought 2 copies of hl2, one preloaded and the other a bought dvd. We have a broadband connection via a router.
The preloaded version of steam has always worked, hence being able to preload.
I bought the game on dvd this morning, came to the office installed and started steam up. But it sits there for 5 mins updating, then says it cannot connect and should try later.
Now I have been trying on all the computers all day, but steam only seems to work on the one.
