Woot I should be good then. Was it stuttery man?

Only in some parts.
Still darn good for that much AA and AF. I probably wont use either. Never do on new games.

how about posting your score instead of being an ass. the vid card is all that matters and everyone knows it. cpu is a 2.6 ghz P4 and ram is shity value stuff but what do i care? and i know that cpu matters, but im not runnin in a 200 Mhz pentium

1024 for me then(All I have played on ever with this card.). I would only amp it up to 1280 to see what it was like.

I think when posting your score, also post your CPU, memory, vid card and maybe PSU watts, along with screen size and detail description. Would make everythin easier to understand for those who are not getting this stress test. I'm still downloading - 93% currently at average 250 kb/s, so I'll know, hopefully, soon.

1600x1200 4AA8AF (everything on high in the settings) = 68.8fps

Note: no sound is played in the test.

Go to the website: could somebody explain to me why the last benchmard (STRESS TEST) is so low compared to the rest of them. Thanks.

Intel P4 2.6 GHz w/HT
Radeon 9800 Pro
1 GB of RAM
Catalyst 4.5 (Yeah I know, old)

Tested at 1600x1200, everything on high, no AA/AF, average 32.75 FPS.

Didn't notice much stuttering, but I'd have to say the worst moment was the rotating texture blocks, or whatever you want to call them.

I hope someone posts the stats of a Geforce 3! +hint hint+

seconded...I have a buddy on a GeForce 3...I know he'd want to know.

Because it's a stress test. de_dust is a small map with low res textures and barely any use of shaders or complex lighting, and the stress test packs as many different shaders effects lighting high res textures and stuff as it can into the thing.

I'd like to know how a Ti4200 128MB performs. Or really any Ti card, they're all pretty similar.

i would make some good benchmarks, i got 3 computers here with radeon 9700pro, ti4600, and geforce 3. damnit valve!

Radeon 9800pro
1024x768
P4 2.8
1GB RAM (value crap)

4AA / 16AF ~27fps

0AA / 0AF ~85fps

Hey, how come I don't get the Stress Test? Is it only for CS:S'ers? Will it be made available with HL2 pre-load?

ok, moved to hardware. and i'll edit my post with my score ina few.

44 fps at 1600x1200 with all settings maxed
Edit: 113 fps at 640x480 with all settings to lowest quality
P4 3.2
1GB DDR400
X800Pro 256MB

Yeah, it only comes with the CS:S beta.

I want to see Geforce 3 results too.

Wan't to know how much FPS this old card may be able to get.

54.88 FPS no AA/no AF, everyhting else at max
25.69 FPS 6xAA/16xAF, everyhting else at max.

3200+ (well, equivilent)
512MB PC3200 DDR RAM
shappire 9600 Pro Atlantis

81 FPS 1600x1200 4xAA8xAF
AMD 64 3000
1 gig o lurvly ram!

(actually wait im gonna re run the test)

And with my normal playing res of 1280x1024 i get 100fps.

For some reason i don't think it changes the AA or AF because when i actually had a look at the AF for my 1600x1200 run it was x16 but i still got higher then someone with a x800xt.

See this is what i dont get we are getting much higher then theese review sites are stating and they probably have "clean(no aps running in the background)" while i have stuff like messanger going on in the background.

What gives?
