as of right now steam is a worthless pile of shit, its slow as hell and dosnt work. yes im sure it will improve as the days go on but right now i hate teh damn thing. ya im sure part of the slowness is do to the fact that so many ppl are down loading it right now, but i couldnt get a damn thing to run on it. i just deleted it all and started over from scratch.
i really hope this is gonna be working fine by the time hl2 comes out.
 
Umm dude, it works fine. Just install it, reboot, click on auto-update and it works. Stop these threads, they are everywhere. We need good, logical discussions here, not this drivel!:borg:
 
steam is working fine now actually... i downloaded the version that came with cs and hl. :)
 
I could careless if this thread was about steam or micheal ****ing jackson stop posting mindless 2 sentence threads every goddamn minute.

this whole ****ing steam crap is just a different anti-piracy crap. it has no ****ing use for the people who honestly buy half-life 2. we dont want to have to logon to ****ing steam to play something. I should have a choice to use it or not. and i dont if i want to play online. ****ing gabe or should i say hitler.

You people all have the potential to be serial killers, like seriously sit back and chillout, I don't even have the new steam installed or have tryed untill all this gets sorted out.

Nobody is forcing you to use steam. Theres lots of other great games you can play without using steam.
