Alrighty folks, lets see those awesome shots. I can only play with the LAN/Scirmish crack, so all my shots are of me playing the computer..horribly at that. Lets get this party started!

I couldn't figure any other way out than pushing Print Screen and going into paint and pasting. It's a bitch of a process, but it's the only way I know how.

I tried finding it, but the controls didn't say it, or at least I guess I might have over looked it.

Now it just looks like a generic explosion.

What's wrong with that nuke effect? What do you expect from a gigantic nuclear attack? You have the wide, bulbous mushroom cloud, likely the cylindrical chamber that connects it to the ground which you can't see because of the view... and the dust/shock wave effect which is quite detailed I must say, expanding outward from the impact site.

those "original screenshots" were almost certainly photoshopped, because it was quite awhile after they first released those that they got back up to the graphical level that was in the first ones.

fraps is indeed the best way to take screenshots, because I think the screenshot key that's ingame actually minimizes the game and asks you where to save them each time (not entirely sure about this since I haven't used it)

some ones I've taken previously:

some occasional mashups (was in one of the earlier versions)

and the best for last

was getting about 10 fps until I ordered them all to move

I'm still confused how you got that camera view...can you adjust the cameras pitch? All I know how to do is zoom...

Question about zooming. When you zoom, are there different "levels" or can you zoom from max to minimum zoom and anywhere in between?

I'm finding skirmish mode damn hard. I haven't figured out the building workflow yet, so I usually don't have much defenses by the time the enemy destroys me.

Is there a way to play Single player beta or do you need an internet connection to play it?

I got the impression it was Multiplayer only?

Well I guess my question is, can I play it without an internet connection? After I download it obviously. Or Do I have to connect to their servers and such?

to do it without a crack you have to connect go gpgnet to host a game atm, after that you wouldn't have to have a net connection though

They have this as a test on GPGnet, and the multiplayer features. They are trying to beta test it all to goodness. But for people like me who multiplayer craps out on, we download the crack and play with bots!

You could always go to your last replay and take snapshots there...that's where I usually go.
