Offline Mode

Hi !!!
Everytime I could play HL2 and CS Source without any problem.
But now when I want to start Steam in offline mode there comes a message like this:This process cannot be finished in offline mode!
And then Steam is disabled.
So I cannot play in offline mode.

But why ?
Where is the problem ?

It could be because the last time you were on-line with Steam it began downloading an update but you never let it finish. Now whenever you try to start in off-line mode it won't be able to complete until it has completely downloaded the patch.

I have never experienced such a problem so its just an idea.

I just bought this piece of crap game the other day and cant even play online because of a very slow connection speed. like 28 k. it'll play but is very choppy. when i try to play offline I cant find anything to let me do it. someone in another thread said that their is an offline mode. (SO WHERE THE HELL IS IT). Also when I close out the steam icon from my tray then try to restart it from the desktop shortcut it says that it is already running but it doesnt say that it is running in my task manager though. Does anyone have any answers or is there any Halflife 2 employies that read this sight. :frown: :rolling:
