What was it like?
 
Quite possibly the best RPG ever.

edit: I've played through the game countless times on emulator, and I still get hooked on it every time I play it.
 
I really REALLY hope they don't do what they did with Final Fantasy III and IV, converting it to shitting looking 3D graphics. Like this

Yeah, if it's not a sequel, it better be a direct looking port. You can't make it any better than what it was, tbh.

Anyway, tbh, I like the shitty oldschool 3d FF7-esque graphics :D Something about low-poly I like.

Basically I don't care either way.

That's very true. I definitely won't be complaining. I'll be too busy screaming like a little girl about the game.

I just prefer the oldschool version.

I knew there was a PSX version, but never heard anything about it. What was wrong with it?

And in regards to a ds version holy shit yes.
 
On the PSX version, when entering a building from the world map, there would be a 10ish second delay before anything happened. Before a battle, about 5 second delay. So everybody would pull their weapon out, music plays, they are just....dancing there....waiting...waiting, OH THERE IS THE MENU.

Small annoyances ruined it, tbh.
 
It's considered one of the best RPG of all time, way before people came on Sephiroth and Cloud.

I used to own the damned SNES game, then somehow, it disappeared. I know someone took it and pawned it off, but I couldn't prove it. Probably the most pissed I've ever been.

It's... it's the same thing? I mean, Chrono Trigger is amazing, but I hardly see why you'd even buy this if you already had it for SNES.
 
Yeah, it's my favorite RPG hands down, but I'm definitely not buying it. No new updated graphics, one new dungeon (that probably has no effect on the story whatsoever), and some wireless play? Meh, no thanks. I beat the original too many times to even consider buying it again.
 
^ I've finished EVERY ending at least 10 times each...I'm still getting it. Why, you may ask? Well, I'll inform you. I love this game too much. It's one of the earliest games that got me into the genre, besides Final Fantasy 1 and 4. I played the shit out of it, because it deserved it. Now for the DS, there will be a few things here and there that are new, but YOU CAN PLAY IT WHEREVER YOU WANT!!

Come on, if that doesn't entice you, you weren't a large enough fan.
