I like that there are no pic sigs on the site, look at halflifesource.com, it's ridiculas.
but maybe you could do what they do at gamewinners.com, increase the sig limit a little and make it so you can highlite text. You then have a double sig, a bit like the spoiler tags.

I've just been on their forums and I still see nothing more than gigantic signatures and image signatures. Can you actually provide a link to an example post where someone is using what you mention above?

I don't understand what's wrong with our sigs now... at the most, they should just be used for a snippit of information about the poster, like "HalfLife2.net Staff: Forum Admin / Lead Editor" or "I'm better than you".
