First time in a good long while here, too.

My house has been struck by lighting twice, I should add :X

Indeed. Videocamera now. We must SEE. Bring it on Mother Nature, you raging bitch!

I'm prepared. Tomorrow I will either wake up to a beautiful morning sky or the non-existence of nothingness...existence.

...Though, it's likely nothing more than a severe storm or MAYBE an F1 at most.

Hitting here too. I ****ing love it. I think I'm gonna go lay outside.

About to get what we got around noon here.

We just had a very intense rain beating down for about half an hour, the kind that keeps you awake without mercy. Whats all this anger about mother nature?

I had light showers today... I guess I'm getting the outside rim of your storm, DXM..

You know what I don't get? Why the hell would people build houses in tornado alley..i mean you know they;re going to get destroyed some day so why live there?!

P.S. I dunno where you live but your thread made me want to ask that question.

*hugs property because it isn't in tornado alley*

This was our first storm in a looooooong time. Raleigh usually gets ass-raped by storms during the summer, but this summer it was really dry. Sucked.

We've got a massive storm here, sorry guys I'll have to unplug the internet for a while, it should only be down for a few hours, then I'll turn the internet computer back on and you can use it again.

Louisville has some f*cked up weather... it's gonna get cold tonight...

You guys are just getting what we already had, which your shit has died down a whole lot in comparison to what we had....think of that. :)

Had some heavy fog in the morning... then hot sun later in the day, and now it's a cool night.

I wish it would rain here in So Cal. We really could use it since half the state is on fire.

FIRE RAIN LIGHTING CAUSES FIRE RAIN LIGHTNING CAUSES FIRE...

etc.

I never unplug my computer for even the most massive storms here. I'm on a surge protector and I have ultimate faith in it. It even protected my system when just the other day a transformer in the neighborhood blew sending massive surges through the lines and causing about a 15-20 second black/brownout... lights flickering, power going on and off, on and off repeatedly for all that time.

Basically in a huge thunderstorm, I sit on my computer, just surfing the net. If the power goes out, i'm on battery backup, and continue using my computer for 25 minutes until the battery charge cannot last any longer. I save my work, or whatever i'm doing... then just shut it down and wait for the power to come back on.

The power rarely goes out in storms here though.

Damn, you're good...

How bad are the storms in the US?

We had a really intense storm here last night.

I saw a flash, and a split second later the sound of a car-alarm going off and a boom noise.

Hurray for Global Warming?

Yeah... the worlds weather was far more severe and extreme before we had gotten all technologically advanced.
