I'm okay with this because I haven't got the money to buy it next week, but I should do by the 19th/20th.
 
I questioned my local GAME store 'bout it today cause that date was up on the wall. They said it was correct.
 
myabe they are using the universal date format, which has day first, then month, year, only america uses month, day, year. or its just a stupid typo, but they could be compensating that the whole world wants this box.

GG EA. After releasing Episode One with a direct Dollar to Pound conversion, UK consumers should have been wary of you actually getting the Orange Box release right. And for a moment back there, it almost looked like you knew what you were doing! Only Testosterone drops balls more effectively.

Uk people, I have some advice... Move to the U.S. for 5 hours, get OB, and then move back home. it will save you a lot of time... Though not a lot of money...

I mean, with Steam it's irrelevant, but I'm pretty sure people were bitching about not-being-able-to-get-it-in-stores a while ago.

2 days is a little different to 9 days. Spoilers are going to be unavoidable to anyone half serious about the games, though of course, average consumer Joe is not going to notice anything different. Until he stumbles across spoilers on his way to the Help forums, when he just wanted to know why he couldn't pick up the HEV suit in 'A Red Letter Day'.
 
Get on steam and it comes out the 10th for everyone, unless you don't have a credit card. I feel sorry for you Europeans, Australia gets it a day before you do.
 
I thought the Xbox360 release coincides with PC, but PS3 a week later or something

I'm looking forward to the orange box, i'm preloading it as i type this, but theres been a confusion on halflife2.net about the actual release date, EAs official release date says 19/10/07 for the pc and 360. Is this correct release date for the UK or is it just retail. Is the steam release date of 10th for UK customers as well?

its released for steam on 10th in other words it means worldwide. UK retail will be released on the 19th. stop asking stupid questions when you know the answers already. valve wouldn't just force all uk accounts to not play the game.
 
Not sure if Bahrain goes with the EU or American release dates...in any case it doesn't matter since I've already got it on Steam.
 
The UK is getting the Orange Box on the 19th October retail.

Not good I know, but I'm prepared to wait.
