Okay, so I started playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on my new comp, really enjoy it, dunno why there are people who hate it.
There are very few things that bother me with it. There was like one or two bugs, but they were not even a big deal. Except when two bandits spawned right in front of me :hmph:

Anyways, what annoys me sometimes about the game is the AI repetition of speech at some points. While entertaining at first, it gets old, like after ridding a neutral camp of 4 waves of bandit rading the other stalker is still going to point his gun at me and say "Urushia Brow!" everytime I raise my weapon... even when killing the bandits for him! Come on dick.

Secondly, does anyone here speak Ukranian or whatever they speak? Because the Bandits always say something in Ukranian that sounds like "Ohhh, Shakey Breaky!" and every time I think "Shit, Shakey Breaky Bandits are Back."

Also, when I was in the bar, the guy who kept whining about his gun, even after I told him I'd help him, shadddd apppp. I was listening to a story from the bar tender and I keep hearing "Ohhhh, Von't somevan help meh plez?" "Ohhhh" I wish I could shoot him.

Anyways, other than that, I really enjoy the game and don't understand why there are extreme haters of the game.
I started making a Bloodsucker Action Figure for fun as well :P

They're basically threats which can't really literally be translated.

And he's saying "Gun/Weapon away"

I would play the vanilla once through to get the feel... then play the Oblivion Lost 2.0 mod. It's what Stalker was really meant to be like. It's ****in scary shit.

Hmm, how do they increase the scary factor?

Oh dude everything by tenfold!!! You need to actually think tactically about surviving, ie: money for food, money for repairs, mutant and military attacks, doing the storyline, sleeping before a blowout

Oh yeah, blowouts...how far are you in the game mate?

Right now I am at the Bar. I would be a bit farther but I got lost for a while and ended up wandering back and forth from a few places.

Hey that's kay, though if you like Stalker even a little bit you'll love this mod for defs. You been through the Wild Territory Lab yet? Or moved through Yantar?

Hmm, I can't remember. I've been through a Military Base. I was going to go underground next to some Stalker base to get a suit, but decided to screw it simply because I have weak armor and that Bloodsucker was kicking my ass, so I grabbed some stuff down there and hauled my ass quick before it got me.

One of the things that pisses me off is how I can't find any new wear. I can't take any of the military men's armor, or any of the Stalker's armor who have better protection after they bite the dust.

Yeah, you just gotta buy it :( Bit of a shame.

In OL, you can get it repaired which is good so you can actually get some degree of wear outta your armour. You don't have to keep running back to the Bar and buying new stuff again.

Nothing, nothing is as annoying, as...

Get out of here stalker.

No.

Try one of the lighting/weather mods, it really buffs the atmosphere and moodiness. There's also a mod that modifies the AI's ability to see at night, making it much more realistic.

How about...

Hello, hello?

No.

HELL-THE-FARK-OH NOW STFU ALREADY YOU'RE GIVING A BAD NAME TO UKRAINIANS!

Stupid assface.

Stalker is an awesome game, but whenever I get really into it a Bloodsucker shows up and scares the S**T out of me.
Some of the mods (I think Oblivion lost) make it so creatures can wander from territory to territory, so you will just be skipping along in the sunny first area and before you know it - TERRIFYING bloodsucker ambush.

Also when is the sequel/addon thing released?

The bloodsuckers never bothered me. The only times I really jumped were when you first encounter that giant mutant thing. Holy shit, all I heard were these inhuman moans and grunts and then I flash my light into the room to see that ****ing thing staring at me. **** you Stalker.

Oh and that mind zombie thing. I walk into the hallway to have that ****ing mind trip start happening, gtfo

stalker is the only game where desolated places are really scary

AAAARRRRRGH

How do I join Duty at that one base? Is it worth it? An enjoyable task?

GET OUT OF HERE, DUTIER

Actually, I was going to join Duty, but they told me to go attack the liberationists and steal their stuff. So, I went over there, talked with their leader, and actually had second thoughts. I was like 'wtf, these guys aren't terrorists! They're cool!' So, I completed the mission, and then went to Chernobyl and finished the game. :|

I'd pay you money if you made me a Duty model.

An exoskeleton model? Those guys are so cool

ZT make me one too!

I know where to get an exoskeleton ingame...

Hahaha this is f***ing hilarious, cus I thought the exact same thing when I first played. Was even gonna make a thread here, but forgot to do it.

Does anyone here know what the hell shakey breaky means?

Look at post #2 you ass. Also, it's not shakey breaky...but when ZT says it, it's cute.

I thought you just didn't know. Jeez radiation really messed those guys up...

Ok, it's a bit like trying to make someone from a non-western country comprehend the insult, "I will **** you up". The meaning is the same, yet the words confuse the meaning

It's in the Chernobyl NPP, in some secluded location, not quite sure. It actually sucks balls, just +20 rad and you can't run. But your encumbrance gets way high, and you can carry a lot of shit.
The Enviro-suit is better. I used it till the end.

Ah, I am starting to have a lot of fun with this game now. I realized you can kill most anybody in the Freedom base when they are off duty and they wont notice, I killed 30+ without them noticing.
So I killed this dude guarding a door and found a nice suit, a big mofuggin grenade launcher too. That's mah baby, great for killing large groups. Lol, I found it funny that the leader was so unaware that I killed over half of his men, so I took most of the bodies and left them in his room

Anyways, I traveled to the Dark Valley and I went into that underground lab with the Polterguests and the Pseudogiant. That place was a real treat, definately my favorite part at the moment. Especially when you go into that one part with those fetus things all hooked up.

I just wish you could read the documents you retrieve =/
But I'm about to go steal something from a military base down the road from where you start, does anyone know how far I am in the game right now?

I would've enjoyed the game alot more if there wasn't so much backtracking and 500000 load screens.

Other than that it's fantastic.

Wurd, I just hope it doesn't go downhill from here. I wouldn't mind some more mutants again. Though, I think I probably wont get to see the Pseudogiant again.

It's on some path that goes down, near the entrance. You just keep on going somewhere you normall turn left, and then you turn right at the end of the hallway, and right again at some opening.
I thought the Exo-Skeleton was absolutely amazing.

So what was that fiery thing in the room with the fetuses? Was that just some sort of Poltergeist boss?

Maybe you are wrong...

Also, how did you like the controller?

Boss, I think. I don't remember if you get to set one of them again.

Also, how did you like the controller?

Haven't ran into one yet, although my vision has gone red and blurry a few times.

I just killed an army base and took a briefcase, now I had to travel all the way back to Yantar. Yantar makes me feel really uncomfortable.

I dunno if I am even following the right path to find out more about the story/kill Strelok.
I hear there is a second lab according to the bartender. Hope I get to go :p

I recall the area where there is the freedom base, a group of Stalkers was defending a spot, I traveled through there, and I had to kill a bunch of tough guys, eventually I reached some base that was just too tough so I turned around. Probably one of the hardest areas, tons of Anomolies. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

You are supposed to find a controller in the end of the Agroprom research institute.

And follow ALL strelok related quests, including finding strelok's stash or something like that, you get that early in the game.

You also MUST do a quest called "meet the guide" that comes from nowhere after x16.

Hmm, I dont know where his stash is D:

Under the Agroprom Institute...in the sewers...

...good hunting, stalker

What Koola said.
Talk to me on steam if you need the exact location.

...good hunting, stalker.

Wait, so the place I was just at? With the Poltergeist and the fetuses? I have to go back? Crap, it's swarming with the military now. Urg.
