well i notice that there are 1,000 people in this clan and alot of people in it want to be serious about it. so how is this HL2.net clan going to get started and managed? Just seems like it will be hard to do.

that being said I always seem to play with the same people regardless, I don't think there will be any problems when it comes to orginization, especially with a tool like Xfire.

I still think the clan is going to become/stay self regulating, those who want to mess around and take things lightly, will tend to play with other members who like the same deal,while us serious folk will find our niche among other forum members who share the same attitude.

I see little point in having clan leaders, set commanders, and set squad leaders and squads... as I said before I tend to be with the same crowd regardless, there are few times when I don't have space for one or the other.

You would get a server to play on, a TS/Vent server, and a website with forums. You aren't paying to be in the clan, you are paying for the servers. If you don't pay for it that just means some other guy is going to have to pay $100 a month, instead of $2.

I wouldn't mind helping to pay for a server and whatever we need. I think if we do get more serious...competition wise then we would need our own server. We also don't really need any type of leadership,where someone is the dictator and we all follow orders. It could be run more like a democracy, say someone has an idea, well they post about it in the forums and we all vote for/against it or change it. We could also open positions, like someone to keep track of members, someone to do scheduling, someone to deal with money for the server and whatever else we would need. No one would have to be any higher than anyone else.

3-4 more days and we can seriously talk about the clan.

In my opinion, a democracy, like mentioned earlier, is the best idea. I feel 2-3 "leaders" would just ruin the balance of things.

If HL2Net is willing to change the servers to BF2, I'd love it. As for spending money, it's a good possibility for me, I can find 2 or 3 dollars laying around the house somewhere and send it via paypal. I say, anyone who donates money should get admin on the server for the months they donate.

If I do donate money, however, I need to know that every penny is being spent on the server.

That's the same thing I do. Just shoot at them enough to make them go prone, then they get a rocket to the face.

this is not Counter-Stirke (or any other crap game for that matter) this is a teamgame, your personal score means nothing... chances are you will NEVER get the opportunity to go 1 on 1 with one of the squad, as we/they work well together, and should stick together and support eachother.

Agreed.

If we do this we should have 2 different sections. Competing and non competing(like we have now). The competing section would be invite only and you would have to be good in order to get in. The non competing section would be for those not as dedicated or trying to get into the competing section.
