ok....i need help

I haven't been able to even get Steam started for the last 5 days. It just keeps coming back with "you have a problem with your internet connection or there is a problem with steam".

I am continuously connected to the web at decent speeds and have disabled the firewall....what else can it be? Also, if i wanted to uninstall/reinstall Steam, I don't have a CD. How do I do it??

I feel sorta stupid so help me out if you can

Do you have anything on your computer called Xfire? If so then you need to disable and uninstall this as it interferes.

Other than that, write down your exact error message and type it into the search box at http://steampowered.custhelp.com. Lots of info there on this issue.

You could try deleting the clientregistry.blob file. That usually fixes things like that.

I submitted a request for help to Steam and am waiting for help. Nothing else has worked. My life is over. I can't go on. I miss CS:S. I need a woman. or, another one at least....
