Don't you have a PS3? It's region free.

I got it. It's fun as shit.

Taokaka :3

I don't get why people get so hyped up for simple 2D arcade-ish fighting games.

Especially not on a next-gen platform.

Hah, it's still not even available in retail in my NTSC city. Go Canada.

Because it's a decently fun game? So I hear?

Gargantou and Combine Hybrid are officially never allowed to be hyped for anything except next-gen cutting edge games the first month after their release.

So you've only heard? End of discussion, then.

Personally, I've played the game and it's just a Guilty Gear 1.5. I've had more fun playing SF4, and I'm not even a big fan of SF.

It's a freakin' spiritual sequel to Guilty Gear. It's even more balanced than GG, even. And there aren't any traps this time. Maybe. Fighting games have always been that way. SFIV turned me off because of lolbigrippling3dmuscles, it just looks like utter crap to me. It's got a wonderful storyline that can be played from all playable character's perspectives, some even have branching storyline paths. A story that makes sense, or isn't just 'fight for the sake of fighting', is hard to find these days.

also satire optional non-canon little videos that flesh out the backstory

From what I've seen it doesn't seem to add anything new to the genre, or innovative?

Little does these days. From the users impressions i've read so far it seems Blazblue has a decent amount of depth to it, the backgrounds are stunning, animation is good.

What the ****?

I was discussing the game's hype, as in 'I'm interested in it because my friends tell me it's fun.' How does your having played it already destroy that argument?

I said nothing about the hype of this game. And I was being cynical when I replied to Gargantou.

I said the game is MEDIOCRE.

Except I find it fun and exciting. It's faster paced than some fighting games, which I like. And even the low tier characters can be played very, very well.

You wanna play a fighting game that is fun and exciting? Go get yourself Marvel vs. Capcom 2, or better yet, wait for Capcom vs. Tatsunoko.

I don't like either of those.
I don't like super heroes.
I only like some of Capcom's shit, and then I'll just main Roll or something.

^ so you like bizarre heavy-anime influenced characters instead?

Anyway, whatever, it's your loss.

This thread personifies what I've come to understand about you. Don't be proud of that.

If you mean by a person who thinks this game is mediocre? Then yes.

I mean being a person that ridicules other people for having different taste from you and condemning an entire art medium without giving it a chance.

Okay I'm really excited about playing this game but since it's not out in europe until next year I decided to try out guilty gear and got guilty gear X.

I've found it kinda fun even though there is not a lot of features in GGX but above easy mode I get my ass royally handed to me and the seemingly simple idea of unlocking dizzy via survival mode is impossible to me (I've got to her before but I can't beat her).

So I really want to like GG but I'm finding it difficult but more importantly to me I really want to like blazblue. Anyone think I will I have as much trouble with that? Please tell me blazblue is easier than guilty gear :|

Also anyone got any tips for GGX? :P
