Alright, I want people to post medals earned by their respective countries. Also comment on how you thought the Games was this time around.

Denmark:

Gold:
Handball - Women (especially proud of this one. It's the third OL in a row these ladies got the gold!)
Rowing - Men's Lightweight Four

Silver:
None

Bronze:
Athletics - Men's 800m
Athletics - Men's Shot Put
Badminton - Mixed Double
Sailing - Europe
Sailing - Yngling
Table Tennis - Men's Double


I enjoyed the Games this time around. I felt sick a couple of times when the spectators were behaving like children, but I generally had a great time watching the Games!
Our wins this time around were quite okay. We could have done better, but I feel we did it good enough. I'm sure Wilson Kipketer will make a gold medal next OL. That man is capable of miracles (not this time though :()

I don't want to read it again...I also don't want to argue with you and let you argue your point about how you hate America. This topic will stay on topic

I was simply trying to lighten the mood.

But please, lets leave this now and go back to the medals.


I'm not sure how many the UK won, but we didn't do too bad :)

Are you talking about the NSA: National Security Agency? Those guys are bastards. I hear them breathing on the other end of my phone line all the time. Hear that NSA! You'll never crack my secret codes!

But seriously, I bet I just got put on a watch list for saying that.

NSA is my dream job. The "Patriot act " just made it better. Shame it's called "Patriot" tho...
 
Pointless argument saying the Americans won the Olympics. The recruiting possibilities and money used on finding and developing talents differ from country to country, so saying USa is better because the won the most medals is foolish. Furthermore the amount of participants differ from each country.
Want to see something equally foolish? Let's take hmm France... They have roughly 60 million people and they won 33 medals, 11 gold. Alright, then let's look at USA. roughly 280 million people. They won 103 medals, 35 gold. Now we're gonna make France just as populated as America and then compare. We're gonna add the correct number of medals too of course. To get 60 million into 280 we need to multiply with 4,6. Let's do the same with medals. That leaves us with around 152 medals where 50 of those are gold. Now that's funny huh? France would have more medals than you guys if they were the same size as you, and thus having a large enough recruiting base. Not really fair is it? :-D

Heh, the Netherlands would have 385 medals of which 70 gold :D
 
The netherlands would have sunk if its population was that big :P


To anyone annoyed with the Americans gloating : Its not like they won the medals either;)
 
Don't worry Farrow. It wasn't like I was sitting for 30 minuts figuring out how to crack those damn yankees :-)... I just get across so many of these Americans that think they are the masters of everything :-)

Calm down. When I said "we won the Olympics" I was totally kidding. I thought that was obvious. Of course you can't win the Olympics.
