Old Half-Life models?

People were saying that the Half-Life version of Steam has high-res models but I downloaded steam today and when I played it was using the really old models. I was expecting the ones from Blue Shift but better. Am I running an older version of it or what and if I am what do I do to update it?

If Steam works while you're playing in an online server, then you can't be running an older version. I guess some "model updates" are not noticable.

Well, the multiplayer does work so I guess I have the latest version but in single player the models look terrible.

Oh, you're talking about player models? They only updated some gun models for Counter-Strike I think, so you won't see any other difference there.
