i have a old half life with protocol 47.
i am looking for a guide that shows me how to make a server with protocol 47.
and the hlds in the game folder isn't working

i cant understand what i have to do.
do i have to register the game on steam because i cant, i bought the game on ebay and the game was already registered to another steam account and it's too old to duplicate the cd key
or do i have to download hlds update tool and update my hlds to 48 and downgrade to 47 or what

Well that was an incredibly stupid decision.

You basically got scammed because the seller can still play all he did was unload his old CD to you which he does not need because he can download the game any time he wants because it's registered to his steam account.
