omega drivers!?

ok just like tons of other people i've gotten a IDIRECT3DDevice9:: present() error when i play source. :frown:
ok.
so do some research update drivers and force source to run in 800 with derectx8.1... boom plroblem solved? :cheese:
for the most part but some maps (ie: paransi, inferno, aztec, and assault sometimes) still crash and pull up with that problem. :|
so i see that these omega drivers have helped for some with ATI drivers so i dl try and install and get this:
setup was unable to complete the installation.
try to setup your display adapter witha standard VGA
driver before running setup.

i've got a new windows vista labtop with
intel pentium dual-core
ATI radeon xpress 200m

In all seriousness, try uninstalling your old drivers, then installing the omegas?

ok well lets say i uninstall my old driver? and installing omega still doesn't work so will and how will i be able to install the original drivers on my comp agian

i would uninstall my ati drivers, but i can't find the drivers on the ati website i have a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M which isn't on there website so any other idea's?

If you have anything else:
http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

First select the OS
Then select INTEGRATED
Then select the Radeon Xpress 200M.

well i uninstalled my old driver installed the omega ones restarted my computer and i got that message before windows even loads up saying stuff like documents or folders important to windows are damaged and i have to revert to a restore point so... im guesssing the omega drivers are outta the question
