Any advantage with them over the ATi ones? I know little to nothing about them, except that they're some guy's homemade "optimized" drivers..

Any bit of information is appreciated, I already know where to get them.. just curious if it's worth the time

I've never seen any noticable differences, waste of time in my opinion.

I'd tend to agree with you here on the nVidia side of things - I honestly cannot see any difference between the two screenshot wise, not sure about FPS wise.

On a pc I was making for fun (AMD 1.2ghz, 256 DDR ram and GeForce 4 MX 440 128mb ddr), I got over 1500 extra 3dmarks in 01.

but I don't use them on my main computer :|

I didn't do a benchmark, I simply jumped into a few of my favourite games and saw absolutely no fps difference.

well, they're supposed to be quality drivers, not performance drivers. They generally increase the IQ a bit.

They can increase both IQ and speed :)
Anyway, they are not "some guy's homemade "optimized" drivers.."
All Omega's do is preset variables and registry settings to increase quality or speed, settings the normal user doesnt even know exist. The drivers themselves arent touched. He is also a very well respected dude, and is working closely with ATI (he's a beta tester too if I remember correctly).

They are very worthwhile for people that use laptops as they always include the drivers for mobile cards. Laptop maufacturers very rarely update video card drivers. God bless em I say.

He also provides support for people using softmodded 9500's and 9700's. Like me! :D

Alrighty then! That clears things up, thanks :)
