My gawsh, blown away today by the new LAN/Internet cafe in Birmingham. Went there with my class for 3 hours or so, played Stalker multilayer for most of that time which was hot, and watched the SKY network recording a Defcon and CS:S tournament. It is quite simply the nuts. 40 Xbox 360's, 40 PS3's, 40 Wii's, and 400 PCs top of the range, all 8800GTX Q6600 dual cores. 5 pound for 3 hours, and free membership.

So my idea is simple, I suggest a Hl2.net LAN day to be arranged in the near future at Omega Sektor in Birmingham. It's a 5 minute walk from New street train station so travel is a piece of cake.

Anyway, providing none of you are rapists or futurtives who thinks this is a good idea?.

lol, that's the thing, if your outside the UK and can fund yourself to make it then it will have to be for the whole day to make it worth the while.

So explicitly you have to beable to cover your own expenses, where ever you might be coming from. But it will be for practically the whole day, which would be around 1pm to 10pm of gaming. So you would be looking to spend £15 for 9 hours and of course bring a bit extra for food.
