Ok, I ordered 2 of these mother ****ers from new egg: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16824116375

I plug in the power cable and the DVI into my video card. I boot up Counter-strike source and everything looks great, crystal clear, loving it. then the monitor goes black... I press the button to turn it off then back on, it turns on then its goes black again, and seems to brighten up just before it does only like 10 seconds later. again I turn it off then on, then it does it again like 5 seconds later. I go to research it and I can't because it kept turning off, so I had to switch back to my CRT. This is rediculous, the monitors looks great but now this problem occurs. is there anyway to fix it. is this pretty common? WHAT IS WITH NEW STUFF?!? its Nicer but less reliable. I was recently faced with all sorts of dualcore issues and now I'm ordering a FX-57, lets see if that shit fails too.

What resolution do you play CS at and do you force a certain refresh rate? That could be an issue if they don't match. Try to change the settings while using your CRT monitor then switch back to the LCD.
I tried out a Viewsonic VX224 before I switched to the Samsung I have now. The viewsonic worked great while I had it.

FYI AMD has a Dual-Core optimization utility.

i put the res to the recommended 1280 1024 and the refresh rate on default 60

my cousin said maybe i need to reseat my video card...

You have twin displays? You tried one at a time I assume? With the other completely unhooked?

i only tried the one at a time. im running the seond one now alone and its running fine so far. so maybe the one was faulty. i might try running it on another computer to see if it works then. but I doubt it

I got a response on the hard forums saying that it is a bad blacklight

sounds like a bad DVI connection on the first one....try it on another computer, if it still poops out, send it back!

ill let you know that at work, ive seen this happen alot with the newer viewsonics(vx922 & vx2025) and any 7 series nvidia card. would just cut out and in all the time on dvi, but never did it on an ati card/older nvidia cards, or while using the analog.

also ill note that viewsonic is a real stickler with their warrenty pollicies. and wait time on the phone takes a while.
dead pixel warrenty is decent though.

repair/replace on 1 black or white pixel, but needs 7 for sub pixels(red/blue/green)
