I broke my middle finger on my left hand, thats the hand I play games with (Pressing w,a,s,d,e,q) and I can't play games until it heals!!!!
I was playing football in gym class today and the ball was thrown by my friend (Really strong kid) as hard as he could (So he said) and it me in my finger right at the tip, while my finger was extended out, so now it's broke, and I can't play games until its healed!

I typed this whole thing using my right hand, just my right hand, the only good thing is that, I wright with my right hand, so I can still write..

ouch. that's a pain. Just do what the doctor says and you'll be golden in the end.
 
try this-
pinky= a
ring= w
pointer= d
ring also= s

and hope you don't need to strafe left while doing anything over to the left :(
 
Well at least its not your right hand, you'd have to get someone else to do it then.

He said his right hand is fine, so it should be for just strafing. Though I hear monkey helpers are adept at many tasks.
 
Oh, I forgot to add, it swelled up like crazy!!
It is litterally twice the diameter of my other fingers.. I've broken my fingers before, but they never swelled like this, I have a feeling like this will take longer to heal than I think.. :(
 
Is it actually broken, or just stretched?
 
I broke my right thumb awhile back. I learned to use my left hand then ;)
 
I once tore a chunk out of my left elbow and the whole arm was in an immovable cast for two weeks. I feel for you buddy!

...eew, what the hell was that? I'm not feeling that again for anyone!
 
It isn't stretched, its broke, I can acually bend it sideways, I know I shouldn't but it's damn cool!
 
haha thats funny, we have a guy in our css clan that was out for weeks, ended up kicing him untill we knew the real reason why he didnt play....broke his entire left hand

No, this is what I do:
Middle Finger On "W"
Ring Finger On "A"
First Finger On "D"
and I also use my middle finger for "S"

Isn't this how everyone does it? Never heard of it your way.... FREAK!
 
i broke my middle finer on my right hand. But it was because i was doing a handstand on a chair and someone thought it would be funny to push me.
 
hmm...u can still "clean the pipe" right?
if so...all is not lost and thats all that really matters :p

edit: err spelling errors suck.
 
I wonder if it would be possible to switch hands (i.e. use your left hand for the mouse and your right hand for the keyboard)? It doesn't sound too difficult in theory.

Or you could try a gamepad. :)

Or you could switch to console gaming. :P

Not a shabby Idea! But without a middle finger...I can't phathom what it would be!

I suppose an easy ASDF thing...that could work.

Well, it could be worse.
I broke my arm-pretty bad fracture too
And I couldnt play games for ages...
 
Here is my own OMG NOOOOOOOO moment:

I've needed a piss for two hours, waiting for the builders to finish for lunch (we're having an extension + new bathroom). So they go. "YES!". Run to the toilet, to see my mum and dad looking at the work they have done. "Where's the toilet?" "It's there now, you can't use it. It's not connected up yet."

They have also taken away the sink, the shower doesn't work as the water is off, so I can't get washed and go elsewhere for a piss. 4 hour wait for one it is then. :|

I could go in the garden, it is big enough I suppose.....but the builders are working on the outside of the house, I can hear my neighbours lawn mower up and running (and he's got a bit of land that cuts straight across the back of our garden).

As for pissing into some sort of vessel, I've considered that, but I really think I'm going to piss about a pint and half :( And I've got nowhere to chuck it afterwards, and I can't wash it out because there is no water! :laugh:
