Omikron: Nomad Soul crashing at startup

Does anyone know how I can disable the opening video(s) (the eidos video right after you run the game)? Something in the shortcut line (I've tried -nointro)? For some reason it crashes because of that video. I've taken it out of the game folder, and then when I start the game it shows a picture telling me to put my second disc in, then when I put the disc in it loads the video (I can hear the few opening sounds of it) then it crashes to the desktop.

gaaahhh!

I've tried running it with the disc, then with a no-cd patch, fiddled with compatibility, scoured the internet for similar problems, but to no avail.

Please help if you can.

hiln, did you ever find a solution to your prob?

I've also had problems running this game on some xp systems, and found that changing the compatablilty properties of runtime.exe (in the game directory) to Win98 will sometimes help.

Please list me out your PC's specs. Namely the sound card you have installed & driver version. Do you have the most current

Audio & Video Runtime Codecs installed?

Do you have several different codec packs installed? such as the "K-Lite Mega" codec pack? If so, uninstall them & retry.
