On the video stress test...

Hello,

I am getting 65.3 FPS average on the video stress test at 1024X768 resolution.

I realize that when I am actually playing HL2 the FPS will be lower since my CPU will be busy doing all the game related stuff.

I am wondering if anyone knows about what kind of FPS I can expect in-game considering the FPS I get on the stress test.

Considering that I get a very large range in FPS while ingame for CSS and what my VST score was, I bet you will be hitting anywhere from 30-70FPS. HL2 might be different than CSS though.

You will probably get around 50-60 fps, with drops and peakes.

I think (hope) that Half Life 2 will be smoother than CS:S since it's a singleplayer game, hence not being lagged down by the netcode and the number of players on screen.
