This happens with every game I've tried, whether it is Steam games, Rome: TW, AoE III or BF 2: I can't find any servers.

This started occuring when we switxhed router about two months ago, so I guess it has something to do with that.

This is especially annoying now as I can't play TF2. The strange thing is that every once in a while, a server does appear. Like with TF2 when I just checked: one, password protected, full clan server appeared, but nothing else.

Please help me with this problem, as it's really annoying. I have payed for the games but still can't play them.

Try opening ports that the games use?

See if there's an option in your router to enable uPNP.

Look in your routers manual to find out how to access it via your internet browser.

Mines 192.168.1.1 and yours should be something similar.

I tried opening the ports a while ago, but it didn't work.

EDIT: Is there something I should do in the "Remote MGMT" section?

Remote MGMT? Erm. What router have you got? :|

XyXEL P-320W

I tried enabling UPnP, BTW. It didn't work.

Zyxel P-320w?

If you need help portforwarding try here
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/P-320W/P-320Windex.htm
Although if it does it with everything then that is probably not the issue.

Do you have any software firewalls running on your machine (zone alarm) that might be blocking you?

Do you need to contact your ISP to get the new router to work (since it's the IP that shows up when looking from outside in)?

just throwing ideas out there.

Tried that, and it didn't work. (Although, as you said, as it happens with every online game, ports are probably not the issue)

I'll look into that, thanks.

We did have connection problems when getting the new router, but that was most likely due to the modem.

That ****s up torrents.

Just call up your ISP and get them to fix it for you, because you'll tear your hair off trying to figure this out and they'll change whatever ports you open up in a month or two anyway.

See what firmware your router is running from the admin panel, then go to the company's [router] website and see if there's a newer version. Had this happen years ago when I got a LinkSys router. Out of the box I could not get any server lists in any games and couldn't connect.
