Online Petition against the Update

No just no, it will never work.

Online petitions do shit.

Yeah, right. I made a poll here regarding awkward physics in CS:S and sent the link to Jess Cliffe. Even though I asked for at least a confirmation he received it, I got nothing. So I don't know whether this petition will change anything.

Good luck anyway.

Rofl - i can just hear that going down well, gabe - "i'm sorry guys, you'll just have to do better, your models are midgets and the hitboxes are all ****ed up completely, so for now lets just rollback and undo all your work"

Remember, when you bought the game, you were forced to get updates, and you can't do much about that...

There have been at least 20 online petitions created in relation to Half-Life 2 since its announcement. Most of them recieved more signatures than this one probably will and none of them did anything at all.

That's quite possibly the worst petition I've ever seen in a decade of online petitions.

Vagueness. Check.
Lack of knowledge. Check.
Spelling "Valve" wrong. Check.
Belief that online petitions actually have any effect. Check.
More than 10 signatures. Uh....

LOL I AGREE.

the only way u could accutlly get them to roll back the update is if u accutlly had "real" signatures and sent them to him

Even that wouldn't work. A small minority is always against the changes made in a patch (for any game, ever). They're the ones that have the loudest voices. The silent majority carry the vote.

I agree, I can't understand how people could sign something if they cannot even spell the company correct.

BTW Pi, one only petition actually worked, the Family Guy petition to Fox. :D

That wasn't because of a petition, unless you count a LOT of freaking people buying DVDs a "petition". Fox just realized the series was still very lucrative because of this, and because they have gotten away with trashy TV lately they knew their sponsors weren't going to pull their ads this time. No petition needed; doubt they even looked at it.

Oh, by the way, I for one don't care about the stupid models.

the only thing i agree with on that petition is the model size which i think should be restored...other than that i think people are grasping at straws.

yeah, except for the willy wonka oompa loompa swat team models, I like the new update. I'm just curious as to how the new weapon models will affect custom weapon models being put on in the future. I'm half expecting Snoz Wanglers and Vicious Knids to appear in cs.

Well everybody was whining for new models, so you guys got new models. You didnt tell them how you wanted them, so Valve made them how they wanted them.

Anyone have a screenshot comparison? I didn't really notice the difference.

ROFL! Now I actually clicked the link and saw the "petition". Ahaha, how mature vocabulary. I thought petitions are usually written in formal style?

Hahaha! That shit is hilarious man..

I always felt the ceilings were rather high for the height of the models in CS. Never noticed a difference with the update though. Anyway, it’s because you can jump quite high in CS, you need the headroom, so I never believed it should be changed. Its just one of those things, it doesn’t actually matter.

Where did i say i agreed with the petition, and had any complaints ?

.......... oh, that's right, i didn't

If they backed out every update that people didnt like then we would probably still be playing the very first beta of CS. I can't remember a single CS or CSS update where people haven't moaned.

JESUS. They're good models and they DONT look like midgets except to bitchy trolls.

Nah, they suck. If you don't agree with me you have herpes.

who really cares about the models anymore just get use to the damn models and stfu there not going to roll back the update

The way the new models look and appear to move is cack, and I've got some jerkiness of movement from the new update, but even so I'm not even slightly interested in this petition. It cheapens the name of petitions everywhere.

What I would like to see in CS is bodies behaving like proper ragdolls, not this silly floaty crap. Start a petition on that why don't you.
