Some thing got changed, but I only hear sound coming from the front left/right speakers when I use WMP (windows media player). In games I hear all 5.1 and when I test my speakers it goes to all of them. Anyone know?

Give this a try, not sure if it will help though.

Tools -> Options -> Devices -> Click on speakers and then click teh properties button. Once you are there, make sure that the audio device in use is your audigy.

Hope this helps

Yeah, It was on "default direct sound device", i switched it to "direct sound: sb audigy...". and it still only plays from the 2 speakers. when I go advanced>speaker settings>advanced its set to 5.1, when I click speaker volume it only shows left and right... shouldn't it show sliders for all speakers?

edit: great now when I play DVD movies I only get sound from the front left/right speakers. When I go to options It won't even let me choose to have more than 2 speakers

Thankfull games still work through all speakers. but God Damn this is annoying

And you had it working on all 6 speakers before with WMP?
Music is stereo so not sure why it would do surround sound unless it just coppied the left/right channels to each speaker (fake surround sound).

And when playing a DVD, can you go to the sound settings in the DVD menu to change it to 5.1 dolby digital and get it to work?

I think I remember having all my speakers work in WMP, I just got a new 5.1 klipsh speaker system.

As for the dvds, im gonna keep lookin around.

I'm thinking it somthing in windows, cus games work fine.

If you or anyone else doesn't get surround sound (more than 2 speakers) in WMP then I will not worry about it.

YES. I love you dude. Thanks a lot!
I don't know how that ended up getting unchecked
