anyone know if hl2 supports semi-transparent textures on models?

i.e. skin over skeleton with skeleton visible underneath.

...or transparent magazines with bullets visible underneath :D yeah, that's what I'd like to know, too. Probably not possible, but ...

Notice that sprays can be semitranparent.

Notice that sprays are textures (or are they sprites?)

Notice that models have textures.

Notice that the clip has a texture on it

I believe that they will be, I thinl someone asked way way back, i'll have a search see if anything comes up.....

I dunno, but it would be cool to be able to assign a transparency value to a vertices to make for instance a polygon go from solid in one corner to transparent in another.

You should be able to do that via a shader

As for the original question. Providing you've modeled something inside it you'd want to see, eg: a skeleton or bullets, then yeah what you ask for is possible
