Opening the weapons source files

Does anyone know how to open those HL2 weapon source files (found in hl2\modelsrc\weapons\)?

I have SOFTIMAGE|XSI EXP for Half-Life 2 but when I try to open them it says:

Have I got the wrong version of XSI? I think I got it from FileShack sometime last year. Was before HL2 came out.

u need xsi mod tool, a newer version of the exp. google it and it will bring u to the site. xsi exp for hl2 is based of xsi 3.5, the new files however are based on xsi 4.2
