The best and fastest web-browser on earth has dropped its advertising banner and is now completely free for everybody. I know some people strangely has had issues with this banner so I thought I should let you know.

d/l opera 8.5 : www.opera.com

Opera doesn't rendere HL2.net properly...
Yeah, I dropped Opera in favor of Firefox for compatibility issues. Almost everything I needed worked in Firefox. Several sites I used didn't like Opera. I'll still give it another shot just because I like to mess around with new things... which is why I'm currently (for the past few days, including as I'm typing this) trying a new Linux distro. I just recently installed the 64-bit version of the Preview Release of Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy Badger). So far, it's great.

If it doesn't like Halflife2.net, then it can die.

No? How so? And if so inform hl2.net staff so they can fix their site.

I used opera for ages, but lost it when i got the new version of it i didn't like it as much for some reason, and lost the old one...

I'm using it again now that a free version's out, and I've just gotta say, mouse gestures ftw!! :D

Hl2.net does work on it, it just doesn't display borders corectly

I'm not convinced. What does this have over Firefox?

I'll give it a try. I used Opera a while back but found it crashed too often so I dumped it and downloaded firefox instead.

Theres a mouse gestures extension for FF thats a lot better (More gestures)
That, adblock, and session saver prevent me from ever using IE again :(

Its not hl2.net's problem, its vBulletin

Ahh a fellow linux user...I gave up on ubuntu because its not detecting my wireless internet connection, therefore I cannot get updates, upgrade ubuntu, get new packages or anything. :X

I can't be bothered to get it. Firefox has all I need.

I prefer Opera, Halflife2.net looks a lot better IMO.

Its not bad.. A little interpretation of both FF and IE together.. Lets just say its IE and FF's love child.

Yeah, you can find FF extensions (or auxilliary programs..) to implement a lot that Opera already does out of the box. There will probably be a bit torrent extension for FF after Opera puts that out first, too. And anyway, more mouse gestures isn't really a good argument since you can add custom ones in Opera anyway.

Anyway I'm happy enough with people using FF, if not Opera, as long as they're not using MSIE!!

Downloading, still, I prefer MSIE, its simple...
