I've updated to the 8.5 free version of Opera. I used something like 7.3 before. For some reason I can't get Java to work in this version properly. I've installed the Java Runtime Enviroment but it still doesn't work. When I go to this page for example: http://www.mazeworks.com/fiver/index.htm it just says "This program requires a Java-enabled web browser".

It works fine in IE and did in the older version of Opera I had. I'm guessing I'm missing some files but I don't know what else I need.

Not sure if this will help, but if you goto the control panel and then Java (I have an icon in there, not sure if it depends on what versions etc). Once there goto the Advanced tab and then expand the <APPLET> tag support option and make sure that the checkboxes are checked for the browsers you use.

Hope this helps.

Just did what you said, but some reason Opera wasn't there. There's was IE 6 (which was already ticked) and Mozilla/Netscape. ;(

Thanks, though.
