Operation Flashpoint mods...

Well, seeing as most of the OPF forums are pretty much dead...

I download the Starship Troopers mod, and it told me to extract all the .pbo's in the RES / Add-on directory...

But, Doesn't tell me how to actually RUN the damn mod!
So, My question is...How do you run mods downloaded for the game?

Please only people with the game, and knowledge in running mods for it reply...Also, Please don't just come in and say "Sorry, Don't have the game." or "I don't have the game but, ______"

I don't have the game installed right now, but if you go to your ofp directory, there should be a seperate folder for the mod. Maybe look for a folder called bin? There definitely should be a shortcut there. If not, but there is a folder, make a new OFP shortcut, and put on the end :

-mod=<folder name>

So, if the mod folder is called "starshiptroopers" for example, put: -mod=starshiptroopers on the end of a new OFP shortcut.

EDIT - Oh wait, the mod just told you to extract the files to your OFP addon folder? That means it's not a seperate mod at all. If you open up regular OFP and go to the mission editor, all the starship troopers units should be listed under a new thing - ie. not East, West or Resistance or whatever.

Mod didn't have an installer, It was package into a winrar file.
So I had to extract it...But, Eh...I'll try extracting it into a folder...

Can you give me a link to the file? It may just be a unit pack and not a full mod.

It's not just an update for the mod, before you ask. It's the full mod.(or whatever it is.)

Yeah, it's just a unit pack. To use them open up regular OFP and using the mission editor you'll be able to create the units. I'm not sure if it comes with any missions, but check the quick mission things as well.

Ah, I just came out of the unit editor... It crashed on me...
I think the game has a unit limit or something... Or my comp. just blows.

I recommend you try the Finnish Defence Forces Mod. It's great, many units and even it's own campaign and map. Finnish voice acting and english subtitles. If you want to play it on LAN or the net or those single player maps you might need a couple of addons(winter nogojev 1.1 and russian wpns pack) from this page:
You need ofp GOTY version or just ofp + resistance and version 1.94 as far as I remember. 1.96 is the latest, I think
