Opinion on lighting?

Im just posting here because i thought i'd like some thoughts on how the lighting on this early stage map looks.

Well, tell me what you think (lol i already made it daytime and moved the streetlight out of the map). I only recently got hl2 again since i got banned before...(grumble, don't go there) So i was quite impressed with the kind of lighting you can pull off.

I know it's nothing super great, btw.

Upon previewing this i can see this topic probably won't got too well lol. Please be a little open minded. I'll get some better pictures soon.

One last thing. I was also surprised at the sort of height you could survive jumping off... (upwards of 15 feet)

I'd make it less saturated and ad a "light" with the same color above where the light of the lamppost hits the ground.

Hey dodo i already did that, the streetlight consisted of 9 lights (before i removed it)

And i'd rather learn from personal experience, really.
Ill submit some more pictures soon.
 
I think it looks good, it is only lighting one circle area which is what they are supposed to do, good job _b
 
maybe get rid of whatever glow your using for the light origin and use a point_spotlight
 
Yeah, you could do that, but point_spotlight it more expensive to use, unless you turn off the dynamic light part.
