Orange box sound issues...

So I just bought the orange box, and when it finally finished downloading, I discover that the dialogue audio is not working. In Portal, I cannot hear the woman's voice, yet all other sounds work fine. In ep2, Alyx looks at me as if she is talking, but there is no dialogue, and again, all other sounds work fine. I checked half life 2 and ep 1, and the sound works fine in both of them, as well as in TF2.

Whats happening?

Abit kn9 SLI
AMD athlon x2 5400+
2 gigs OCZ gold 800 mhz
XFX 8600 XXX edition, 256 mb
onboard audio (realtek hd audio)

Change the language to russian, then back to English.

I checked the valve support page to no avail... I also tried updating my audio drivers.

When I check the console in game, it says something like this:

"Failed to load sound "vo\aperture_ai\00_part1_entry-1.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository"
