Orange Box website launched

Nicely made website, although I shall not linger in it. I have chosen to avoid any areas where spoilers to EP2 could be told.
 
Finally we get to see how the workers look like and I got to say they look awesome only if we got a chance to see how Dr. Magnusson looks like but I guess Valve are saving that for when we actually get our hands on the game.
 
Likin' the Portal stuff... no new maps, just different angles on ones we've already seen, but that's probably a good thing - they've given away enough of the puzzles already.
 
Flying termite? I constantly wonder if I'll do the extermination or if I'll let the Vortigaunt companion use his WWF moves.

Jesus! For Half-life 2 they're still using the old E3 screenshots (look at the zombies and antlions)

What the hell? How much effort would it take to run the actual game and press that "print scr" button, or even use the 10 000 000 screenshots already on the web?

Otherwise, a nice site. Very orange.

Note the very small icon for the heavy's trailer on the TF2 section; implies that more are coming!

Wow... the antlion worker looks so... amazing. I never imagined it looking like that. I tought it was completely different than that.

yeah, the new ant lion model looks friggin' sweet.
 
I really wish Valve can keep those new enemies in secret until the game is out. :/

It should be really interesting fighting with the new antlion workers I just wonder if their acid spit really burns through rocks or through the different mining equipment that is in the underground tunnels.
I wonder if we get some sort of Pherapod in ep2 I mean it would be awesome if we get to control not only antlions but antlion workers this time but I'm sure that half life 2 was the last time we ever will get to use the pherapod.
But it makes you think there are antlion guards(Myrmidonts) in the tunnels and you do get a vortigaunt helping you wouldn't it be possible to kill a antlion guard and let the vortigaunt take the pherapod from the guard?

Maybe the vortigaunt will die before you encounter one who knows.
 
Ya looking good now I'm really hyped for this game that gameplay video just owned!
The way the hunter called for help and then once you killed it with a blast from a barrel then 2 more came that was the best part man keep us updated with more videos like that! -_-

On topic: I think that Valve should release a new video at least one last one before the release and it could of been put into the orange box site oh well...

Half-life 2 has been out for quite some time. Who cares? Those shots are exactly what the final game looks like...doesn't really matter, does it?

Love the phong on those hunters, and the antlion worker looks fantastic.

What are those things on the ground in that Alyx screenshot? They look like hunter "feet", but they glow blue. You can see more of them in the background of the other screenshot, with the hunter looking straight at the viewpoint in the foreground.

The Vort fighting alongside you is sooo awsome. Can't freaking wait!

Edit: WOAH WOAH WOAH, Hold the f*cking PHONE. In the EP2 screenshots, there's one of the antlion guard battle with the combine and the cars and whatever...but in the screenshot, Alyx is down on the ground fighting, but that NEVER happened for me. She always stayed up on the balcony, FTW. >8( Did I miss something??

Old screenshot... there's only a little bit of new material on that site, almost none of which is Portal. :(
 
Nice site.
Have avoided episode 1 as it was too short to be worth my cash, waited for this to be released so at least I can have a big chunk o the action in one go - both episodes. Plus Portal as a bonus, woohoo.

btw - anyone know how many levels there will be in Portal?

So these are <spinal orgasm> the workers. I though they were just going to be normal antlions with glowing abdomens, which would've been a let down, but these are so, so much better. <spinal orgasm> I still don't get how these massive acid spitting pwn-machines are the "workers" while the smaller, normal ones are presumably the soldiers.
On that first TF2 trailer with all the classes, I take it those animations like the spy creaping along the wall aren't actually in-game, are they?

No, but I do know they will be releasing the development software with it, you should have tones of free mod levels to play with very soon after release.

Yeah on the Half Life 2 website they're using screenshots and videos that're from older than E3, and in my opinion that's just ridiculous as the game has been out for over 2 years.

The website looks awesome, but what's going to happen to this one?
