Hey, I need software like this, but don't know where to look.

GoldenSection Notes

Does anyone know of programs that can organize text pages like this? I don't want to pay $35 for this without investigating the competition first. You might know of something free?

EDIT:
Right now I'm taking a look at The Guide.

Well, I really like The Guide, this is exactly what I needed. Extremely fast, freeware, works, and hasn't crashed yet. Good things. Let me know if there is anything better out there.

One thing I'd really like is software to organize all my pdfs, docs, txt, rich text and such. I guess I'll need/want a separate software for that.

I'm very happy with The Guide, but wondered if there might be something even better out there.

I found 2 more Freeware Note Programs, so I thought I'd share. These are much more full featured than the two above. I haven't had the chance to try them or compare them all yet.

Looks like HelpNDoc is quite awesome.
You can download HelpNDoc free for personal use. You will be able to use the full version of HelpNDoc for as long as you want. The only restriction is that you can't use HelpNDoc or its generated files for profit.

Also, TreeDBNotes
Features: Search, Replace, Case options, Insert file/ link/ image/ time/ date/ symbols/ table / html table. Import from txt, wri, rtf, Excell, Word, html and more. Export to txt, html, wri, doc and more. This program is ideal for storing notes, emails, images, URLs, document management, etc.

TreeDBNotes stores and represents your information in a comfortable and clear tree-structured form. Each node in such 'tree' represents associated note, so you can store a lot of mostly independent notes in one notebook. With any note you can perform main Wordpad-like text-formatting functions (font and paragraph styles).
Free version is missing a few features from the Pro, but you probably won't need (or want) some of them anyway.

Here is a good review and rundown of TreeDBNotes:

These are award winning programs. Without going into detail as to what these programs do, I'll let you read the web pages for yourselves.

EDIT:
After trying both programs out for about an hour, it seems both programs offer many of the same features and operate similarly.

TreeDBNotes is definitely heavier feeling and slower to launch. It does have a few nice themes that make it pretty. The file menu is absolutely loaded with options, but these are the same options that have their own buttons already. The same options that HelpNDoc offers. The RAM usage for my (very small) DB (database - the data I've entered) I created is about 26,000KB

HelpNDoc is very fast. Nearly as fast as the super light Notes program The Guide, yet vastly more featured. RAM usage is interesting here. For a DB similar in size to the one used in TreeDBNotes, RAM usage is about 6,000KB. The great thing is, when you minimize it, RAM usage drops to only about 700KB. That's incredible, and would be great for me because I just want to leave it open at all times. Another awesome feature is that you can compile your database to 4 different formats in one click. Create a .pdf, a .chm help file, an .html, and/or a report file. You can choose one, or all 4. It looks like you can use this for all sorts of code generation as well. C++, etc.

I'm very impressed with both programs so far. Either one is a great free DB program, but HelpNDoc seems to be a much more serious and higher performance tool focusing on results.
