Other Weapons in portal??!??

Go into GCFScape and go Source sounds.gcf/root/hl2/sound/weapons.there are many noises for weapons in here, but there are no weapons in portal(that I know of anyway). Why are they in the file?

I think the weapons cheat only works if you have HL2 installed. I could be wrong, though.

well, I will install HL2 when I've finished HL1. I only discivered the whole HL universe last wk when I played portal. I mean i've heard about it and seein a couple of screencaps, but I never looked into it.
