oudated tutorials?

Hello, I've been browsing some tutorials for coding and I noticed that they don't work, or am I missing something? they refer to things such as sdk_weaponbase.. but i can't find that anywhere..

can anyone help me?

they might be for Half-Life, not Half-Life 2.

No, they're for HL2.

SDK_Weaponbase only exists in the bare-bones mod form - the tutorials you read aren't for modyfying DM SDK - you'll need to have some aptitude for changing things to be able to make them work.

oh well i wasn't too sure what they were.. thanks for clearing it up.. so your saying i should start with the barebones one instead of either the mp or sp?

Instead, try and find an equivalent file in the DM source, and convert the tutorial. It'll teach you how to code, rather than how to copy-paste.

Try looking for a file named something like "hl2dm_weaponbase" and work from there.

but, some of the hl2world tutorials are out of date
