Curse you all.

How come the UK has to wait till the 13th but there's enough copies for North America and Austrailia?

Australians have it because there's nothing better to do down there in the summer!

I met some guy from Australia and he says it gets way too hot to do anything but sit in front of the Air Conditioner.

He was probably exagerating he a little though.

Yeah its out. Just out of curiosity though, what price have you all been seeing it at? In Perth EB, its AU$99.95, anyway if its US$50, then that means we are getting severly ripped off (not sure what our dollar is at the moment, but isnt it around 65-70 cents US?)

Um...

It's winter here.

And no, your friend wasn't exaggerating.

Hello my antipodean chums.

I am moving to Melbourne soon - and will be bringing my laptop with me (from UK.)

Do any of you guys play battlefield vietnam/42 on European servers? Im just wondering if I'll be able to play alright with my clan mates on our server (UK based) or if the lag will make it unplayable. Is BFV big in oz? Its my favourite game at the mo.

Uk will lag big time unless you get a top class broadband. i have 512 and i get 300-400 ping to uk servers.

but bf vietnam is popular, just as bf1942 is so there are plenty of servers.

where abouts are you moveing to? do you know yet?

side note:

yes my avatar is awaome

awsome to the max

Oh wow, I'm a retard, I forgot...I usually don't forget those kinds of things.

Hi Burnzie - im moving out at the end of the month - hear its a great place to stay!

Those pings sound horrific :( Is there a superfast broadband provider down there that would improve on that? Id be prepared to pay a premium rate if it meant I could get playable games. What is the broadband set up like in general/costs etc?

Light can only travel so fast. The fastest broadband in the world won't help you in the overseas ping department

It takes light a little over 50ms to travel 10,000mi. Geostationary orbit is achieved at 22,223mi. So, going by communication satellites, the best ping you could get is about 250ms. If you ran 9,000mi of cables straight to the UK you could get decent pings.
