...Farrow goes snowboarding! Hooray!

I'm off to Andora in about 6 hours for a week of snowboarding. I'm rather excited, but at the same time sad about not being able to talk to some people...

Not you lot though. So long, losers!

Yes I can... Frostbite isn't an issue at all with snowboarding. If anything, I'l get dehydrated from sweating too much. As for avalanches.. Meh, not likely where we are.

I'm taking my digital camera and a couple of throw aways, so hopefully I'l have lots of pictures.
 
Have a good trip. I've been skiing lots of times, but I've never been snowboarding :( I've always wanted to though.

Meh..have fun :)
 
Yeh, no doubt about snowboarding being cooler - but skiing's pish, I would of thought snowboarding would be harder.

Trust me, its easier. For starters, your legs are both strapped to the same thing so you don't have to worry about them flying off in different directions. And its a more comfortable stance, partly because the boots are nice and stoft (strapped to the board with the lovely bindings, so your feet aren't gonna get twisted off like they would with skis so no need for the big plastic shells) and also because you just stand how you'd normally stand, rather than having to lean on your shins or anything like that.

Who would have thought sliding down a hill, on an expensive plank for several days, could be so much fun? I´m still alive... if anyone cares. I fell over today, but I was so tired that I just let myself slide on my front for a while. Ice hurts...slush slows you down. Put them bot together and you get the ultimate in pain. On the one side, slush slowing you, on the other side, ice making you slide uncontrollably fast. You just kind of sping around and invariably land on your arse...that bony at the bottom of your spine. Cocix or something...

¿Oh and aren´t spanish keyboards are crazy? :O

Well today has been a bit crappy so far... but thats another story.

Yesterday, I jumped off the mountain :D I did have a parachute on though. Now that was just amazing...I suggest everyone try it. I should be getting a video on DVD of my jump, so maybe I can upload some pictures or something... Or maybe not :P

This afternoon we´re hopefully going to the capital, which is essentially a big duty free shop. So who knows what crazy exploits two English people, with their mum´s debit card and a city full of tax free alcohol, might get up to. :D

That is HIGHLY debatable.

I've done both a bunch of time and I think skiing is cooler precisely because it it harder.
 
Do they "celebrate" April Fools Day in Andorra?

Careful, they might claim you as illegal aliens and throw you in jail for a day as a joke.

Have a good time, btw isn't Andorra about as big as your pinky finger nail on the map...can you fit a snowboard in there sideways? :)
 
Snowboarders suck, they destroy the (s?)lopes and are mostly dumbasses :p

Ski forever! And the alps :P

And English snowboarder. Yes :D Next year I hope to take my suit and bowler hat with me. Oooh, it´d be grand.

Moguls are what make skiing/snowboarding interesting!

That and trees, and kickers.
 
Hey Farrow, If you really like snowboarding you should live here, I can't go 30 minutes in any direction without reaching a ski/snowboard hill. Also I've got Whistler just an hour away.(If you snowboard you know what I'm talking about ;) )

Whistler is just about the most awesome mountain I've ever been to.

You got that right. :cheers: Although this year has been a really poor year, in terms of snow accumulation.(I blame Global Warming)
