When a U.S. army unit arrives in Iraq for their first tour of duty, they quickly find themselves engaged in a bloody firefight and discover the essense of who they are as soldiers. Some show more mettle in the face of death, while others become paralyzed from fear. Under the guidance of their sergeant, the soldiers begin to form the bonds of brotherhood that are only forged though war.
Premieres Wednesday July 27 at 10 PM EST. No way in hell am I missing this series. Pure awesome-ness.:bounce:

I saw the commercial for this on FOX and went "woah." Then I realised that I don't have FX.

I'll get it if it goes to DVD.

i too saw a commercial and went whoa. I'll be there in the beginning to end if its good.

I'm definitely gonna watch this series when it airs. Looks really good. I thought it was gonna be this last week but I was wrong :(

they're really taking a big step here to do a show about a situation that's still going on, but i'll be interested to see if they can keep the washington politics to a minimum while focusing on the soldiers and what they're going through... hopefully it shows the full spectrum of what they're doing (more like Gunner Palace instead of the mainstream media) and not just car bombs going off and them getting shot at

<paste CptStern's usual diatribe on manufactured borderline propaganda vehicles for the US military recruiting machine here>

will watch but with little hopes of this being anywhere near accurate
